ATHENS, Greece (AP) — The latest news on Greece's financial woes (all times local): ___ 6:30 p.m. The International Monetary Fund is putting the blame for Greece's current economic predicament largely on the Greek government of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. It noted, for example, that Greece has been slow to privatize state assets. In 2011, the IMF predicted that Greece would raise 50 billion euros from selling off state properties by the end of 2015; so far, it has only raised 3.2 billion euros through privatizations.

Solid hiring and lower US unemployment rate for June, but paychecks remain flat

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. employers added jobs at a solid pace in June, and the unemployment rate fell to 5.3 percent, a seven-year low. But wages failed to budge, and other barometers of the job market painted a mixed picture. The result is that the proportion of Americans working or looking for work fell to a 38-year low. The government doesn't count people as unemployed unless they're actively searching for work.
