Greek journalists on 24-hour strike ahead of nationwide general strike against austerity

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek journalists are on a 24-hour strike, pulling all newscasts off the air a day before a nationwide general strike against austerity measures. Thursday's general strike is expected to disrupt services across the country. Schools will remain shut, state hospitals will only handle emergencies, and ferries and flights will not operate. Journalists' unions usually hold work stoppages a day early so reporters can cover the general strike.

Obama's immigration move leaves out tech priorities, gets cold shoulder from business leaders

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama's executive actions on immigration left out some of the business community's top priorities, disappointing business leaders who might have stepped up to defend his policies in the face of Republican attacks. And the administration only partially answered pleas to increase the length of time foreign students can stay in the U.S. before or after graduating to work in their fields. The administration announced plans to expand the program at some point in the future, but it offered no details on timing or scope.
