PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The husband of a technology executive killed when a speeding Amtrak train derailed in Philadelphia has sued the railroad for wrongful death. The 39-year-old mother of a 2-year-old son was in the first passenger car, commuting home to New York from her new job as CEO of the Philadelphia educational software startup ApprenNet.

Ex-hospital technician charged with performing faulty tests on cancer patients, lying about it

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A former Pennsylvania hospital employee has been indicted on charges he performed flawed genetic tests on 124 late-stage cancer patients and then lied about it. Court documents say Benko failed to perform the gene mutation tests correctly and lied to administrators at Hershey Medical Center about how he conducted the tests.
