Infoblox reports first-quarter loss of $10.2 million

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) _ Infoblox Inc. (BLOX) on Tuesday reported a fiscal first-quarter loss of $10.2 million. The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 3 cents per share. The network automation company posted revenue of $66.7 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Analysts expected $64.2 million, according to Zacks.

Wal-Mart's chief merchant leaves in management shakeup on eve of big holiday season

NEW YORK (AP) — Wal-Mart's chief merchandising officer for its namesake U.S. division has left as the discounter makes leadership changes to perk up sales as the holiday shopping season revs up. According to the memo from Greg Foran, CEO of Wal-Mart's U.S. business since August, the company will not name a replacement immediately. The heads of each of the merchandise categories will report directly to Foran.

China Cord Blood posts 2nd-quarter profit of $4.4 million

CENTRAL HONG KONG, Hong Kong (AP) _ China Cord Blood Corp. (CO) on Tuesday reported earnings of $4.4 million, or 6 cents per share, in its fiscal second quarter. The company, based in Central Hong Kong, Hong Kong, posted revenue of $24.8 million in the period. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $4.85. A year ago, they were trading at $3.97.

Hewlett-Packard tops 4Q profit expectations, misses revenue forecasts

PALO ALTO, Calif. (AP) _ Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) on Tuesday reported earnings of $1.33 billion in its fiscal fourth quarter. The Palo Alto, California-based company said it had profit of 70 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.06 per share. The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.05 per share.
