OPKO Health posts 4th-quarter loss of $53 million

MIAMI (AP) _ Opko Health Inc. (OPK) on Friday reported a loss of $53 million in its fourth quarter. On a per-share basis, the Miami-based company said it had a loss of 12 cents. The holding company with investments in pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies posted revenue of $25.5 million in the period.

Handy & Harman posts profit of $2.6 million in 4th quarter

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) _ Handy & Harman Ltd. (HNH) on Friday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $2.6 million. The White Plains, New York-based company said it had net income of 24 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, were 13 cents per share. The industrial products maker posted revenue of $131.9 million in the period.

Wolf proposes initiative to allow 5,500 more seniors to receive home health care

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Gov. Tom Wolf said Friday he wants more seniors to obtain health care in their home instead of a nursing facility "Seniors have spent their lives working hard to provide for their families," Wolf said, noting that avoiding nursing-home care for that many people would save taxpayers $162 million a year.

(AP) — In a Feb. 26 story about the financial results of Epam Systems Inc., The Associated Press reported erroneously, in a report generated by Automated Insights using data from Zacks Investment Research, that the company's adjusted earnings missed Wall Street expectations. The company beat Wall Street expectations.
