RIGA, Latvia (AP) — The eurozone's top official hopes the criticism Greece's finance minister has faced over the country's failure to present an economic reform plan on time will prompt a positive response soon. Dijsselbloem says it's "going to take a couple of days . at least." The Greek government was meant to present an economic reform program by the end of April. If approved by European creditors, it would free up the remaining funds in Greece's bailout and ease the financial pressures on the cash-strapped country.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal health officials say ice cream is still safe to eat — even amid recalls by two ice cream companies after the discovery of listeria bacteria in their frozen confections. "Based upon what we know now, there is no connection between these two ice cream companies nor any reason to suspect that ice cream as a whole poses any special foodborne disease risk," said CDC's Dr. Robert Tauxe.

Still, Tauxe says the discovery of listeria is a "wake-up call" for the industry, since the bacteria isn't very common in ice cream.
