BRUSSELS (AP) — Dairy farmers hit the streets of Brussels Tuesday to protest the lifting of European Union milk quotas, fearing that the move will flood the market with cheap surplus milk. The quota system which kept a lid on production will be scrapped on Wednesday, more than 30 years after it was introduced to try to halt massive overproduction that had resulted in so-called milk lakes and butter mountains in the EU.

The official said both sides agreed to intensify a fact-finding mission on the proposed Greek reforms. Greece is fast running out of cash needed to repay debts and keep the country functioning.

Comcast plans to establish a $4.1 billion strategic investment company

NEW YORK (AP) — Comcast is establishing a firm with $4.1 billion in capital commitments to invest in fast-growing companies. Michael Angelakis, Comcast's chief financial officer, will be the company's CEO. "We believe the ability to establish entrepreneurial ventures that partner with and participate in the growth of innovative companies can be an important driver of strategic and financial value creation for our company," said Comcast Chairman and CEO Brian Roberts, in a printed statement Tuesday.

Kraft says program to put dietitian group's 'Kids Eat Right' logo on Kraft Singles ending

NEW YORK (AP) — A program to put a dietitian group's "Kids Eat Right" logo on Kraft Singles has reached an early expiration date. Kraft and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics said their partnership was intended to raise awareness about inadequate calcium intake and vitamin D deficiency in kids. Kraft did not disclose how much it gave to the academy as part of the deal.
