US employers added a robust 295K jobs in Feb; jobless rate falls to 5.5 pct.

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. employers extended a healthy streak of hiring in February by adding 295,000 jobs, the 12th straight monthly gain above 200,000. The strong job gains weren't enough to boost wages by much. The average hourly wage rose just 3 cents to $24.78 an hour in February. Over the past year, 3.3 million more Americans have gotten jobs. More jobs and lower gas prices have led many consumers to step up spending. That's boosting the economy, offsetting sluggish economies overseas and giving employers the confidence to hire.

US trade deficit falls 8.3 percent in January to $41.8 billion as exports, imports fall

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. trade deficit in January dropped sharply as both exports and imports fell. Much of the dip in imports likely came from lower oil prices and a labor dispute that disrupted shipping at West Coast ports. At the same time, the strong dollar that has made American-made goods less affordable abroad is weighing down exports.

What it means that Hillary Clinton ran a 'homebrew' email server: Genius as well as sneaky?

WASHINGTON (AP) — No, it's not always a room filled with wires and glowing blue lights. It's probably not even the size of your furnace. The personal email server used by Hillary Rodham Clinton during her time as secretary of state was probably about the size of your office desktop computer and could have been tucked quietly in a corner somewhere.

BP signs $12B deal to develop Egypt gas field set to come online in 2017

CAIRO (AP) — The U.K.-based energy company BP on Friday announced agreements worth $12 billion to develop a major gas field in Egypt, which has been trying to attract foreign investment after four years of unrest. The West Nile Delta project aims to produce 5 trillion cubic feet of gas and 55 million barrels of condensate. Production is expected to begin in 2017 and reach up to 1.2 billion cubic feet a day, or about 25 percent of Egypt's current production.
