HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) — Democratic presidential contender Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday she sees "no role whatsoever" for U.S. ground forces in Iraq despite setbacks in the struggle against Islamic State militants. She addressed the matter after visiting Smuttynose Brewery, where she spoke in defense of the Export-Import Bank, a little-known U.S. agency that guarantees loans to help U.S. exporters and is opposed by some Republicans. Clinton was on her second visit to New Hampshire since opening her campaign for the Democratic nomination.

Egg prices surge to record as bird flu decimates Midwest chicken flock

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Egg prices surged to a record on Friday, a month after bird flu was first detected in the chicken flock in Iowa, the nation's leading egg producer. Midwest large eggs reached $2.32 a dozen. Rick Brown, a senior vice president for Urner Barry, a commodity market analyst says that's a 95 percent increase in the month since bird flu first hit Iowa chickens. He says the previous record was $2.27 set on Dec 4.

Wheat, corn, oats and soybeans lower on the CBOT; beef mixed and pork lower on the CME.

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for July delivery was off 6.75 cents to $5.1525 a bushel; July corn fell 5 cents to 3.60 a bushel; July oats were 1.75 cents lower at 2.4250 a bushel; while July soybeans declined 14.25 cents to $9.2425 bushel. Beef was mixed and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. August live cattle lost .20 cent to $1.5070 a pound; August feeder cattle rose 1.38 cents to $2.1910 a pound; while July lean hogs were off .13 cent to $.8372 a pound.
