NEW YORK (AP) — A Morgan Stanley analyst on Wednesday raised her price targets on more than a dozen large-cap banking stocks Wednesday, saying she expects business will get better in 2014 as the U.S. economy gains strength. Graseck raised her price targets on 13 of the 16 large-cap banks she covers. She also upgraded BB&T Corp. shares to "Overweight" from "Equal-weight," lifting her price target to $40 per share from $39. Graseck also has an "Overweight" rating on Bank of America Corp., Regions Financial Corp., JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Citigroup Inc. She raised her price targets for the latter two stocks, and said Bank of America, Citigroup, and JPMorgan are her top picks in the sector.

ELOY, Ariz. (AP) — Skydivers from around the world returned to the air Wednesday at a popular Arizona skydiving location that was the site of a deadly mishap involving two parachutists a day earlier. Participants met Wednesday and decided getting back in the air was the best way to pay tribute to their friends, many of whom know each other from other skydiving events around the world.

BOSTON (AP) — The new year will bring a small tax cut for Massachusetts residents. State Revenue Commissioner Amy Pitter has certified that the state's income tax will be lowered from the current 5.25 percent to 5.2 percent on Jan. 1. In a letter on Wednesday to Secretary of Administration and Finance Glen Shor, Pitter said tax collections have exceeded benchmarks over several months, and as a result have met the threshold required under state law to trigger an automatic .05 percent reduction in the income tax.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah Gov. Gary Herbert released a $13.3 billion budget proposal Wednesday that calls for more than $260 million in new education spending. State forecasts show Utah will have an extra $338 million to spend next year, the bulk of which will go toward education. The governor is not recommending tax increases or additional debt to pay for road or building projects.
