NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of Martha Stewart Living fell sharply Tuesday after reporting a nearly 50 percent drop in its first-quarter revenue as it handed over control of its magazine business to publishing company Meredith. During the first quarter, publishing revenue at Martha Stewart Living fell 70 percent from a year ago to $5.7 million. Revenue for its merchandising business fell 16 percent to $11 million, and revenue fell 46 percent to $367,000 in its broadcasting unit.

CLEVELAND (AP) _ Sifco Industries Inc. (SIF) on Tuesday reported a fiscal second-quarter loss of $64,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier. The producer of forgings and machined components for the aerospace and energy market posted revenue of $24.6 million in the period. Sifco shares have fallen 52 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 57 percent in the last 12 months.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The head of the U.S. Forest Service says the cost of fighting wildfires this season could be well over $1 billion and that the agency may have to borrow money from the very programs designed to prevent big fires in the first place. Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska says she visited Fairbanks recently and couldn't remember a beginning of May with no snow on the ground.

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania health system has reached a tentative agreement to buy a small hospital in the region. Washington Health officials said they plan to continue services at Southwest Regional and honor existing union contracts. The hospital has been part of RegionalCare since 2005.
