ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Turkey says a recent notice seeking to reserve a large swath of airspace over the Aegean Sea for military maneuvers was issued by mistake and then canceled. Greece had complained about the planned maneuvers, which it said would have intruded into Greek airspace and interfered with commercial air traffic.

LONDON (AP) — Barclays' fourth-quarter loss widened as the costs of correcting past problems overshadowed progress in streamlining the bank's business after the global financial crisis. "We remain focused on addressing outstanding conduct issues, including those relating to foreign exchange trading," said Chief Executive Antony Jenkins, who has made cleaning up the sins of the past his top priority. "I regard the behavior at the center of these investigations as wholly incompatible with our values."

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A Filipino-British company says the Philippine government has ordered the suspension of all exploration at an offshore oil and gas field because of an ongoing territorial dispute with China. It said in a statement Monday that the area is subject to a U.N. arbitration case filed by the Philippines over China's rival claim to the territory.

BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union's environment body says the 28 member states need to do more to meet long-term environmental goals, including targets for greenhouse gas emissions. It said that the health impact of climate change on the EU's 500 million citizens is "expected to worsen." On the positive side, the report acknowledged that EU policies already have left many of parts of Europe "in as good a state today as it has been since the start of industrialization."
