DETROIT (AP) — General Motors has named global product development chief Mary Barra as its new CEO. A person briefed on the matter says the board selected Barra to succeed Dan Akerson, who recently turned 65 and has been considering retirement. The person didn't want to be identified because a formal announcement hasn't been made. An announcement is expected later Tuesday.
