Radcom posts first-quarter profit of $437,000

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) _ Radcom Ltd. (RDCM) on Tuesday reported first-quarter earnings of $437,000. On a per-share basis, the Tel Aviv, Israel-based company said it had net income of 5 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense, were 9 cents per share. The monitoring service for the communications industry posted revenue of $6.4 million in the period.

As restaurants change, Tyson Foods wants to remove human antibiotics from US chicken by 2017

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) — Tyson Foods says it wants to stop using human antibiotics in its U.S. chicken houses by September 2017 and that it will explore doing the same in its beef, pork and turkey operations. McDonald's, for instance, said in March it wants suppliers to stop using human antibiotics in poultry within two years. Panera and Chipotle already say their chicken is antibiotic-free.

RTI International Metals beats 1Q profit expectations, misses revenue forecasts

PITTSBURGH (AP) _ RTI International Metals Inc. (RTI) on Tuesday reported first-quarter net income of $4.5 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier. The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 12 cents per share.

Carbonite reports first-quarter loss but tops expectations

BOSTON (AP) _ Carbonite Inc. (CARB) on Tuesday reported a loss of $6.2 million in its first quarter. The Boston-based company said it had a loss of 23 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 5 cents per share. The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 8 cents per share.
