PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Michigan food entrepreneur claims the "Little Dipper" condiment package he patented in 1997 led H.J. Heinz Co. to develop its Dip & Squeeze ketchup packets, which it rolled out in February 2010, lawyers in opening statements told a federal court jury in Pittsburgh on Monday. "Heinz says it didn't use any of Mr. Wawrzynski's ideas — they thought it up all on their own," his attorney, Eugene Boyle Jr. told the jury. "We're here to tell you that's not true."

TORONTO (AP) — An Air Canada passenger plane landed so significantly short of the runway in Halifax that it hit a power line and knocked out power at the airport, the lead investigator said Monday. Mike Cunningham, regional manager for Canada's Transportation Safety Board, said investigators are still trying to determine why Flight AC624 from Toronto landed prematurely.

WWE skids as company discloses subscription figures after WrestleMania 31

NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of World Wrestling Entertainment were body slammed Monday after the company disclosed its latest subscription figures following WrestleMania 31, the latest installment of its biggest annual event. It said also subscriptions to its WWE Network grew to 1.3 million, almost double its total from a year ago.

Wheat,corn and soybeans higher, oats lower on the CBOT; beef mixed and pork higher on the CME.

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were mostly higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Beef was mostly lower and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. June live cattle was unchanged at $1.5297 a pound; May feeder cattle fell .67 cent to $2.1745 a pound; while June lean hogs were .55 cent higher to $.7555 a pound.
