SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his physician wife, Priscilla Chan, are expecting a baby. The co-founder of the world's largest social network used a Facebook post Friday to announce that Chan is pregnant with a healthy baby daughter. He didn't say when the baby is due. Zuckerberg also said the couple had suffered three miscarriages over the last two years.

NY health officials pick 5 to grow, dispense medical marijuana; program begins next year

(AP) — The five companies picked to grow and dispense medical marijuana in New York include one run by a Minnesota physician, three with dispensaries in other states and another with a personal connection to those the state's new program aims to help. The first medical cannabis is expected to be available to patients with qualifying conditions in January.

New York village makes ransom payments to keep computers running after cyberattack

(AP) — A village in central New York made ransom payments of $300 and $500 last year to keep its computers running after two official-looking emails released malware throughout its system, state auditors said.. "The payroll, village accounting systems, they were all locked up," Mayor Terry Leonard said.

Clinton calls for an end to Cuba embargo, taking on Bush and Rubio in Florida

MIAMI (AP) — Drawing a sharp distinction with her main Republican rivals in Florida, Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday called on the GOP-run Congress to end the trade embargo the U.S. has imposed on Cuba since 1962. President Barack Obama has normalized diplomatic relations with Cuba and has called for Congress to lift the economic embargo, as well.
