ATHENS, Greece (AP) — The latest news on Greece's financial woes (all times local): ___ 1:30 p.m. The German president's office says Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos has canceled a previously planned visit to Germany that was set for next week. Pavlopoulos was to make his first visit to Germany since being elected president on Tuesday, meeting President Joachim Gauck in Berlin. Gauck's office didn't give a reason for the cancelation, but Greece is holding a referendum on Sunday in which the country's prime minister has urged voters to denounce the last deal offered by creditors for releasing bailout funds.

French court says German company does not have to compensate women with faulty breast implants

PARIS (AP) — A French appeals court ruled Thursday that a German product-testing company does not have to compensate more than 3,000 women with leak-prone breast implants — and now the women may have to pay back more than 11 million euros ($12 million) in collective damages they received in a lower-court ruling.

US factory orders likely slipped slightly in May, reflecting drop in aircraft orders

ORDERS DOWN: Economists believe that orders dipped 0.5 percent, according to a survey of economists by data firm FactSet. FACTORY PRESSURES: Orders dipped 0.4 percent in April, showing how manufacturers were wrestling with a strong dollar and cheap oil.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — The latest news on Greece's financial woes (all times local): ___ 12:55 p.m. Spain's economy minister says the doors for negotiations will remain open for Greece regardless of the outcome of Sunday's referendum. Luis de Guindos has told Spain's Cadena SER radio that a "yes" vote would amount to a vote of no confidence in the Greek government.
