Financial markets shuddered Wednesday after the Federal Reserve said it could start scaling back its huge economic stimulus program later this year and end it by the middle of 2014. "Any whiff there's going to be reduction in the (Fed's) ammunition is met with selling," said James Camp, managing director of fixed income at Eagle Asset Management.
Feds in Calif. bust international gambling ring

U.S. authorities unsealed an indictment Wednesday charging 18 people with involvement in an illegal gambling ring they say spanned from California to Peru and used violence against customers with outstanding debts. FBI agents arrested 14 suspects Wednesday in San Diego and Los Angeles. One person alleged to be a ringleader, Erik Portocarrero, was arrested in Norway.
