Shares of Keryx Biopharmaceuticals Inc. rose Wednesday after a JPMorgan analyst started covering the stock with an "Overweight" rating and a positive view on the company's experimental drug Zerenex. THE BIG PICTURE: Keryx has no approved drugs and Zerenex is its only product in clinical testing. The company is preparing to file for marketing approval of the drug as a treatment for hyperphosphatemia in dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease.
Pruitt: DOJ broke rules in phone records seizure

The Justice Department violated its own rules when it secretly seized records for thousands of phone calls to and from journalists for The Associated Press as part of a leak investigation, the head of the company said Wednesday. The freedom of the press, Pruitt said, is a bedrock of the U.S. Constitution and the sweeping seizure of phone records threatens the very foundation of that freedom. "The DOJ's actions could not have been more tailor-made to comfort authoritarian regimes that want to suppress their own news media," he said.
Diverted United 787 passengers on way to Tokyo

Passengers from a United Airlines Denver-to-Tokyo flight that diverted to Seattle Tuesday when the Boeing 787 had an oil filter issue are on their way again. A Boeing spokeswoman told The Seattle Times Tuesday the problem was unrelated to any battery issues that grounded the 787 fleet from January to May.
