LaSalle Hotel Properties posts 3Q FFO of $87.6 million, results top expectations

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) _ LaSalle Hotel Properties (LHO) on Wednesday reported a key measure of profitability in its third quarter. The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for funds from operations of 79 cents per share. Funds from operations is a closely watched measure in the REIT industry. It takes net income and adds back items such as depreciation and amortization.

Bank of America says it will reimburse customers who were charged twice in Apple Pay glitch

SAN JOSE, CALIF. (AP) — Bank of America is apologizing for double-billing customers who made purchases using Apple's new mobile payments service. A bank spokeswoman said Wednesday that the glitch involved about 1,000 transactions and that all duplicate charges will be refunded. Some customers who used Apple Pay with debit cards issued by Bank of America have complained they were charged twice for a single transaction.

Albemarle tops 3Q earnings and revenue expectations

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ Albemarle Corp. (ALB) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $72.8 million. The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.03 per share. The specialty chemicals company posted revenue of $642.4 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Analysts expected $603.8 million, according to Zacks.
