PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The owner of a Maine farm where a teenager was killed on a Halloween-themed hayride says he never would've allowed a vehicle with mechanical problems to operate. Investigators have blamed a mechanical problem.

Too racy for drugstores? Rite Aid says it will put Cosmopolitan behind a protective shield

NEW YORK (AP) — Cosmopolitan magazine is apparently too racy to appear without a wrap on Rite Aid drugstore shelves. The Hearst women's magazine is famous for cover lines such as "The Sex Move He Will Worship You For" and "Epic Summer Sex: 28 OMFG Moves." That lead to a campaign by advocacy group the National Center on Sexual Exploitation and Victoria Hearst, granddaughter of Hearst Corp. founder William Randolph Hearst, urging retailers to keep Cosmo under wraps and out of view of minors. Their Cosmo Harms Minors campaign says the magazine is pornographic.
