German American Bancorp beats 1Q profit and revenue expectations

JASPER, Ind. (AP) _ German American Bancorp Inc. (GABC) on Monday reported first-quarter profit of $7.3 million. The bank, based in Jasper, Indiana, said it had earnings of 55 cents per share. The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 51 cents per share.

Boston Properties posts 1Q FFO of $200.4 million, results top expectations

BOSTON (AP) _ Boston Properties Inc. (BXP) on Monday reported a key measure of profitability in its first quarter. The results topped Wall Street expectations. The real estate investment trust, based in Boston, said it had funds from operations of $200.4 million, or $1.30 per share, in the period. The average estimate of 15 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for funds from operations of $1.24 per share.

Greek Prime Minister Tsipras rules out early elections if bailout talks with creditors fail

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greece's prime minister is ruling out early elections if ongoing bailout talks with the country's international creditors fail. In an interview with private Star TV, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said early Tuesday that he has no reason to hold a snap vote. Tsipras was elected just three months ago on a pledge to alleviate economic suffering in the financially struggling country.

3:45 p.m. (MDT) An attorney for Colorado theater shooter James Holmes says every doctor who has evaluated his client has found he suffers from a serious psychotic illness, and isn't faking it. Public defender Daniel King said during opening statements that all the psychiatrists who have examined Holmes have diagnosed him with schizophrenia or schizophrenic spectrum disorder.
