CBS strengthened its dominance over the television industry this year at the same time that the unprecedented reign of "American Idol" came to a close. For the 10th time in 11 years, CBS was the nation's most-watched network, the Nielsen company said Thursday. CBS' margin of victory was wider than any other network in 24 years and it won among 18-to-49-year-old viewers, a group coveted by advertisers, for the first time in 21 years.
Obama: Policy in leaks investigations under review

President Barack Obama said Thursday that the Justice Department will review the policy under which it obtains journalists' records in investigations of the leak of government secrets. In recent weeks, the administration has acknowledged secretly seizing portions of two months of phone records from The Associated Press and reading the e-mails of Fox News reporter James Rosen in separate investigations about the publication of government secrets.
