NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top autos companies are mixed at 1 p.m.: Ford Motor Co. fell $.09 or .6 percent, to $16.02. General Motors Co. fell $.63 or 1.7 percent, to $36.98. Honda Motor Co. rose $.24 or .7 percent, to $33.48. Toyota Motor Corp. rose $.17 or .1 percent, to $135.07.

Aerospace companies shares mixed at 1 p.m.

NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top aerospace companies are mixed at 1 p.m.: Boeing fell $.99 or .6 percent, to $153.48. Lockheed Martin Corp. fell $1.82 or .9 percent, to $197.28. Northrop Grumman Corp. fell $2.93 or 1.8 percent, to $160.35. Raytheon fell $1.58 or 1.5 percent, to $105.39.

Apple to replace AT&T in the Dow, cementing the iPhone maker's status as a corporate titan

NEW YORK (AP) — In the Dow's elite club, Apple is in and AT&T is out. Apple will replace AT&T in the Dow Jones industrial average on March 19, the manager of the index announced early Friday. It's not likely to impact the 30-stock index much, and has no effect on the fortunes of the two companies, but it's another victory of sorts for the popular and profitable iPhone giant.

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — South American foreign ministers met with Venezuelan officials in Caracas Friday in hopes of encouraging dialogue between opposition leaders and the socialist administration to head off a political crisis. With the price of crude crashing, Venezuela is struggling economically and is looking for ways to wring cash out of the alliance's debts.
