2 W.Va. staffing agency execs plead to tax evasion

Two staffing agency executives have pleaded guilty to federal employment tax evasion charges. U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin says 60-year-old Daniel Hovis and 63-year-old Janice Hensley each pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Charleston to failure to pay trust fund taxes. Hovis is president of Career Search One Inc. Hensley is its vice president.

US auto factories cutting back on summer downtime

General Motors will idle its factories only for short periods, while Chrysler plans a two-week break at just four of its ten North American assembly plants.
