Trustee opposes $20M payout to American Air CEO

The Justice Department says a proposed $20 million severance payment for the CEO of American Airlines is too big and should be rejected. The objection filed Friday by the U.S. trustee's office says American's bankruptcy plan does not explain why he should get so much money. The objection says Horton's contract calls for him to get $6.4 million if he had left at the end of last year, and raises the question of why he should get so much more money now.

A person with direct knowledge of Hulu says the video site is again up for sale, with Yahoo and pay TV operators DirecTV and Time Warner Cable among the seven bidders. The person didn't offer details on the prices offered. Published reports have pegged a bid by a group led by former News Corp. executive Peter Chernin at $500 million.

The shares rose $.02 or .2 percent to $10.75. Babson Participation Investors : Approximately 1,100 shares changed hands, a 88.9 decrease from its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.12 or .8 percent to $14.52.
