Intuit, the company behind tax-filing software TurboTax and the finance programs Quicken and QuickBooks, said Tuesday that its fiscal third-quarter net income rose 12 percent despite a "challenging" tax season. For the quarter that ended April 30, earnings rose to $822 million, or $2.71 per share, from $734 million, or $2.42 per share.
