Latest Utah oil and gas leases net BLM $140,000

The latest round of oil and gas lease sales in Utah netted the federal government nearly $140,000. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management says it sold all 12 parcels on the auction block this week covering more than 14,600 acres. Agency officials in Salt Lake City say they took in $115,000 in bonus bids, $22,000 in rental fees and another $1,800 in administrative fees.
