Cyprus' deputy government spokesman says the Cabinet has ratified a preliminary agreement with U.S. firm Noble Energy and its Israeli partners Delek Drilling and Avner Oil Exploration on their participation in the development of a planned natural gas processing facility. Noble, Delek and its subsidiary Avner are partners in a gas field off Cyprus' southern coast that's estimated to contain 5-8 trillion cubic feet of gas.
IOC praises Pyeongchang for Olympic preparations

IOC inspectors have concluded their second visit to Pyeongchang by praising organizers for making good progress on preparations for the 2018 Winter Games. The commission cited the launch of Pyeongchang's new logo and finalization of venue plans. The IOC panel made its first visit to Pyeongchang last year. It noted Wednesday that the locations for all sports venues have been defined and "work is progressing rapidly on the design phase to ensure that all will be ready in time for the test events ahead of the games."
